Due to the nature of our business, sensitive information may be collected, for example - details about your past and/or current medical history, information about your lifestyle, information about your relationships, information about your religious beliefs. We are committed to securely handling your sensitive information. This information will only be used by us for the purpose/s for which it was obtained, with your consent, or where required to by law. 

Sensitive information is collected by methods that are reasonably secure, including - 

  • Through the intake form via Simple Clinic when you book an appointment 

  • In a secure payment method such as Square 

  • During a private Zoom consultation 

As we do not have full control over systems including but not limited to Simple Clinic, Zoom, or Square, by communicating with us via such platforms, you accept that there is a risk of personal information loss or disclosure for which we will not be held responsible. 

The information we collect enables us to - 

  • Provide you with services throughout naturopathic consultations 

  • Respond to your enquires 

  • Provide you with relevant updates about our services 

  • Provide integrative healthcare alongside other healthcare providers 

  • Contact and communicate with you 

  • Comply with legally required internal record keeping 

  • Conduct market research and business development to monitor client satisfaction

Information storage 

We store your personal information in a manner that protects it from misuse, interference, loss, and unauthorised access with all reasonable effort. All information will be destroyed or after 7 years, except where we have a legal obligation to retain it. 

Your information is - 

  • Stored on a password protected computer

  • Only accessed by the therapist responsible for your treatment 

  • Some information may be stored securely online for example via Simple Clinic or Ariyah Health (find out more about their privacy policies below) 

For children under the age of 18 years old, information will be collected in the presence of their parents or legal guardians, and with the full consent of their parents or legal guardians.

Third parties 

Third parties may be employed to facilitate our services in various ways, for example for our bookings or dispensing services via Simple Clinic and Ariyah Health respectively. You can learn more about their privacy policies here and here

In some cases, third parties may provide us with your information for example, from other health care practitioners. In these circumstances, we will take all reasonable steps to ensure you are aware of what information is being provided by the third party. 

Sharing of personal information 

Your personal information is shared in circumstances including but not limited to - 

  • When it is necessary to prevent a serious threat to a patient's life, health, or safety, or that of the public's 

  • You have authorised in writing for us to communicate with other people 

  • When there is a statutory obligation to share certain personal information for example, mandatory reporting of notifiable diseases 

  • To provide you with the service you have requested 

  • To send you the products that you have purchased 

  • When engaging in professional supervision or mentoring however any information in these circumstances is de-identified and strictly confidential 

  • When necessary to carry out your instruction for example, requesting pathology testing or referrals 

  • Third party providers for example those who assist with accounting, auditing, email marketing, website maintenance, or technology services 

  • If required to by law in response to a subpoena, discovery request, or a court order

Our website and services may contain links to other services and sites that are not owner or operated by us.
